Planting Plan

A classic garden design brought to life with an elegant and simple planting plan.Traditional Buxus (Box) hedging and topiary balls add timeless elegance to this garden of many parts.

Egyptian Limestone has been used for my hard landscaping elements and this is softened by using plenty of different shades of green along with various foliage textures.

A mass planting of Hydrangea Annabelle is punctuated by three multi stem Osmanthus fortuneii and bound together by a Euonymus hedge as an alternative to Buxus.

Another area of this garden is brought to life with a planting of mixed herbaceous perennials, such as Lupin Manhattan Lights, Verbena bonariensis, Aquilegia, Salvia Carradonna and Rudbeckia Goldstrum. This planting scheme is  interplanted with Buxus balls, Stipa Ponytails and Heuchera Berry Smoothie

Planting Plan

This is a garden of many parts.

It's in a coastal location on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way and thus you can see we fitted a glass wall behind the Agapanthus to shelter the seating area inside this raised bed.

A sunken bed filled with Lavandula Munstead creates a dreamlike effect when in full flower and another area contains more cottage garden favourites such as Verbena bonariensis, Phlox, Rudbeckia, Verbenas and Alliums creating a visual treat but also supporting the pollinators and promoting biodiversity in general

There is also a kitchen garden and scree area in this garden and pots are used to great effect planted with seasonal interest such as the Tulips in the pictures
